Training Practice
As a teaching Practice, students spend part of their medical training with us from the University of Liverpool.
What this means for you:
- If a medical student is sitting in during our GP appointments we will always check that you are happy with this and proceed based on your preferences.
- If a GP trainee needs to video their consultation for training purposes then your permission will be sought prior to any recording and the GP trainee will explain exactly what is being recorded and for what purpose.
GP Net Earnings
NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised and the required disclosure is shown below. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice. It should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GP’s working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GP’s working in Whetstone Medical Centre in the last financial year (22/23) was £49,429 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 0 full-time GP’s, 6 part-time GP’s and 2 locum GP’s who worked in the practice for more than six months.
